David C. Neuhaus

Chief Executive Officer / Founder

davidDavid is now in his 15th year in the insurance industry with 12 years adjusting experience. He began his insurance career as a marketing representative for a national forensic engineering firm, where he was responsible for the state of Florida. David then became a Managing Partner and Vice President of Business Development for a large independent adjusting firm. Enjoying all aspects of the insurance business, he created Insurance Claims Unlimited in 2005. David is a retired military officer, C130 pilot of 23 years from the United States Coast Guard. He was employed by American Airlines flying the Boeing 727 as a first officer until he was furloughed after “911” in 2001. David is a native of Illinois and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He and his wife, Ansley, have three children and reside in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

 

Alexa Lichatz, ACA

Regional Manager/Catastrophe Manager

IMG_6288Alexa started with Insurance Claims Unlimited in 2005 at its inception date, and has worked as both a field adjuster and file examiner. She is currently our Regional Manager, where she directs and oversees the claims department for both daily and catastrophe assignments. Alexa provides guidance to both internal and external field staff, along with supervising the review of claims with file examiners.

Alexa has over 20 years of experience in the insurance adjusting industry, with a diverse cross-functional background. She has a solid background in investigation, negotiations and settlements of claims. She is responsible for ICU’s outside adjusters and conducts quarterly training for them as well. She began her career working on auto and property claims with Allstate, her background includes Auto, Property, Liability, Commercial and Flood. During the last eight years Alexa has worked both Daily and CAT claims; during the 2004 and 2005 storms she worked both in Florida and Mississippi and in 2008 she worked Tropical Storm Fay. Alexa graduated from Ivy Tech in Indiana, holding her adjuster’s licenses in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina as well has been NFIP certified since 2005.

When Alexa is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband Nick and their two dogs, Oscar and Buddy. Alexa also volunteers with the local theater group, Licklog Players, where she is the costume designer and also enjoys using her acting abilities in their productions. She also teaches costume design to the local children’s group.

 

Ansley Neuhaus

Chief Financial Officer

Ansley 1Ansley Neuhaus is the Chief Financial Officer for Insurance Claims Unlimited. She has managed ICU’s accounting department for eleven years and personally oversees the preparation and reconciliation on all accounts each month. In addition, she handles all of the financial information for the company.

A true Florida Cracker, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University where she earned BS degrees in Fashion Merchandising and Fashion Design along with a minor in Marketing. After graduation, she was employed by Maas Brothers department store as an area sales manager eventually becoming an assistant buyer at their corporate headquarters in Tampa, Florida.

Ansley has her own interior decorating company in which she was honored with having decorated the “Home of the Year” in Winter Park, Florida in 2008. She enjoys spending time with her three children, and dog Casper. She and David live in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

 

 

Michael Caswell

Operations Manager/ Account Manager

Highly motivated, creative and versatile claims leader with over twenty years of experience in the property casualty insurance industry. Skills include education and training, developing and implementing business and workflow models, effective and productive working relationships with policyholders, regulators and staff. Excellent leadership, management, negotiation and public relations skills. Florida 6-20 All Lines License and IICRC Certified.

Specialized in: claims administration, budgeting, customer service, team building, estimating, financial, insurance, management, networking, staffing, teaching, training programs and workflow analysis

 

Britney Schilli

Office Manager

Britney started with Insurance Claims Unlimited in 2012 as an administrative support person, assisting CEO David Neuhaus with adjuster recruitment, retention programs, direct marketing campaigns and event coordinator. ICU noticed right away her great communication skills, and warm personal style she showed with clients, vendors and adjusters, and was promoted in 2013 to the Executive Claims Administrator. Today Britney is responsible for daily management of ICU’s claims management system, processing claims, and assist in the maintenance of all adjuster records such as contract packets and licensing within the Human Resource Department.

Prior to joining ICU, Britney was employed as a College Admissions Coordinator. She is originally from Macon, Georgia, and currently resides now in Trinity, Florida. She attended Pasco Hernando College for Business and plans on furthering her career in the Insurance Industry.

Britney’s outside activities include spending time with her husband and their 2 children and two dogs.

 

Megan Pappasimage1

Executive Claims Administrator

Megan has been with ICU for 3 years now. She is responsible for the assignment of all daily claims, account admin for one of our carriers, management of adjusters and daily office operations. Megan also assists CEO David Neuhaus with marketing and event coordination.

Prior to joining ICU, Megan graduated from Rasmussen College with her RN Nursing Degree. She also does wedding and event planning in her spare time. She enjoys spending time with her friends, is a big sports fan, and loves to travel. She currently resides in Trinity, FL with her dog Maggie.

 

 

Jose Mohammed

Complex Claims Manager/Account Manager

Jose Mohammed has been involved in the insurance industry for over 25 years. 

Jose started as a claims intake associate at Allstate Insurance from where he moved on to become a personal lines auto adjuster.

After a few years in this position based out of the Fort Lauderdale area he decided to take the challenge of commercial property claims at the Allstate St Petersburg office.

From Allstate he then transitioned over to Zurich North America at their Tampa office at Zurich he handled commercial property clams and builder’s risk claims.

Jose was also part of a team handling the McDonalds book of business claims for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

When not working Jose likes to paint and take photographs. He has been able to incorporate the two mediums and has art pieces being shown at art galleries in the Tampa Bay Area.

Gregory Alvord

Claims Examiner

Gregory has been in the insurance industry in Florida for over ten years and has well rounded field adjusting experience, including full adjustment, in both daily and catastrophe claims, has examined daily claims, worked with the Florida Insurance Guarantee Association as a desk adjuster, field adjusted claims for Hurricane Ike and been a quality claims supervisor. His experience in the field enhances and broadens his claim handling knowledge. Gregory has handled a variety of policies and worked with several different carriers. This diversity has enabled him to obtain a full understanding of the claims process, policies and insurance issues in Florida.

Gregory has a Masters in Science from the University of Southern Mississippi, retired after twenty-eight years teaching high school biology, crew rowed for Rhodes University and Rhodesia, has been a member of Lions International for forty years, plays Handbells, is a Stephen Minister and Summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2010. He lives in Palm Harbor, is married to Deb Alvord a Property Insurance Litigation Manager and they have two daughters.

 

 

Sara Bald

Claims Examiner

Sara brings over ten years of experience, 7 of which was working as a carrier examiner.

Sara worked in advertising before working in the insurance field.

She is a very well-rounded adjuster having worked out in the field climbing roofs as an independent adjuster to examining Complex Property Claims, Maintenance Repair Programs and Workers Compensations files.
